Family Night Out

Hulaaa~ This week is just as hectic as last week. I've been busy attending classes and preparing my design clothes for saturday. I'm done with the basic as I'm typing this post. So excited!

Yesterday I went for a family gathering celebrating my great-aunt -or yi bo as I called her- 's 84 birthday! Amazing, huh? Since both my grandpas and grandmas have already passed, all the family think of yi bo as our own grandma. Wish her a long and happy life!!!

Hectic Week

Gosh..Long time no post and this time still no fashion post. Have been so busy this week. College from Mon to Sat and so on. Glad to have a weekend even not a wonderful one.

Yesterday on Saturday after class, I went to a film production seminar held by college. It's a national seminar that attracts lot of people from my major since we would have film class later semester. The guest for the seminar is a well known producer in Indonesia, Riri Riza. He produced many great films such as Laskar Pelangi, Petualangan Sherina, Ada Apa dengan Cinta, Gie, and many more. His films always contain great meaning and loved by Indonesian.

The seminar itself took place at Gedung Juang '45. A vintage building with bright orange exterior paint and oldish Indonesian interior. Didn't bring my camera that day, so I'll just showed you a picture taken from uncle Google~ I can't find the inside picture though. The main hall is filled with framed vintage photographs. It's so vintage and beautiful. I don't know whether Gedung Juang is opened for public or not, if yes I wanna go back there and take some photos. Should be nice indeed!

After the seminar, me and few friends headed to Ciputra World Mall and ate there for a few hours. I skipped my sat-night and spent some quality time home.

Oh yeah! Forget to tell you! My and my friend (one team)'s design was selected as finalist for d-fest. A design festival held by my college. Feel so excited! I'll show you the design later on the fashion show day! Yipeeee! So excited. It's the second time I'm going to final since Junior Fashion Design Competition by Arva School of Fashion last two year (lost that time). Wish me luck this time??!!! *amen-ing the quote*

Freshened, finally!

Yeahh!! Finally saturday, everyone's favourite day~ What were you doing on saturday night? I had a wonderful saturday this time. And you know, I got my hair cut. Finally. I love my new hair. It feels so comfy and fresh. Actually, I want to have it cut shorter, I'll do it next time. heeheeehee. Do you think I did the right thing or is it a disaster?

I went to Surabaya Town Square -or so called sutos- with my lovely 7Gangsters. 4 gangsters to be exact. Had so much fun! It's been a long time since we hang out here. Ate at Sushi Hana. By the way my camera seems to be in trouble as all the photos taken were blur. Too bad. 

 

Belated Valentine

I hope I'm not too late for Valentine mood~ Been busy these few days since my day back at college. I'm so lack of sleep. Enough whining! 

Happy belated Valentine, Earth!!!

It's not a new outfit post though. Yet the theme is perfectly match to Valentine. Heeehehee~

Just an ordinary day for me. Yeah, except the chocolates, the cakes, and the cookies. Oh, and the pink. I went for a dinner at my friend's house with my best friends, the Baby Crown plus some other friends. We ordered pizzas. Had a really great time because one of the Baby Crown, Iline is back from her study in Australia for holiday. Just missing three other friends whom currently studying abroad and other two friends whom out with their own dates. Overall, it was a great night! Didn't take photos with my camera though. 

Oh, I made chocolate chip cookies for my friends on the 13th night. Turned out quite good and so crunchy. I love cookies, don't you? 

Ingredients

2 cups of all purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon of baking soda

1/2 tablespoon of vanilla 

1 cup of brown sugar

1/2 cup of white sugar

1 egg

1 egg yolk

1/2 cup of Blueband (margarine), room temperature

1/4 cup of unsalted butter, room temperature

chocolate chip

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celcius and coat the baking pan with butter or line with baking sheet.

In a large mixing bowl mix together margarine, butter, brown sugar, white sugar, vanilla, baking soda egg, and egg yolk with mixer. Shift in the flour slowly into the the mixture then mix until completely blend. Stir in the chocolate chip -I use about 1 cup, add more if you like-.

Drop small amount of the dough on the baking pan evenly. Bake for about 15 until 20 minutes. After baking, put the cookies on a wire rack and let it cool.

Not So Gloomy Saturday

Fever on Saturday? One word : bad. Me and my college friend had already have a plan this weekend. A sudden fever attack is unavoidable and unlikeable. So annoyed. 

I ended up re-read one of my favourite book, The One Hundred by Nina Garcia. The book is my last birthday present from my best-est friends, the 7Gangsters -yeah, that's our gang's name XD- The book contains 100 essential fashion items you should have. And it's definitely correct! I ended up want to shopping. Sigh. Here's the cover. Took it from google. Too lazy to take my camera and photoed mine.

And I spent the rest of the night watching Running Man (again). Running Man surely healed my mood! I can't help laughing all the time. It's getting more interesting every episode. If any of you haven't watched Running Man, go and download now! Here is a photo of the show's casts. 

Yeah, though I'm staying home, this weekend wasn't that bad. At least I had some fun. Oops, monday is start of the new semester. Weird isn't it, when you're in the middle of the semester you want some holiday. When you're on holiday, you miss your lessons. When it's getting close to holiday end, you want to start the holiday all over again. That's life. Whatever. I get to see my friends on monday. So... not bad!

My best-est friend's birthday is coming in a few hours. Yet she left her Blackberry in Surabaya and gone missing on twitter, skype, etc. How should I contact her. My fault forgot to ask her Malaysian number== HAPPY BIRTHDAY my dear Hana. Have a blast year ahead. Come back soon. I'm so miss you!

Mid-End Holiday

My insomnia can't be helped. Getting worse on holiday like this. Sigh. I'm watching Running Man as I writing this post. My night-laugh-medicine. LOL. It's getting more and more funny! My favourite korean reality show beside Family Outing. I think sis getting annoyed hearing me laugh at midnight while she sleeps. Blame Running Man.

Since the start of the holiday last december I've been hanging out with mom all the time. Just like today, mom got some matter at Pasar Atom -must visit place in Surabaya, a combination of market and mall, one of the hype-est shopping destination here-. I've been to Atom too often that I feel some of the shopkeepers there gave me a weird I-know-you glance. Like usual, I was going around the mall when I bumped to my aunt and my little cousin there. So to get rid of my boredom, I kidnapped XD my little bro and we played at Timezone for a while. Then in the evening me and mom went to Galaxy Mall. Walked around until my feet felt numb. Blame that lovely blue heels.

Under the sea! More sea-inspired collection. This Spring 2012 Chanel Collection is mainly based on what deep inside the sea looks like. My thought immediately went to sea creatures like sea-horse, clam, fish, coral, jellyfish and more! The ruffles are so fantastic and the colors are magical. Although both Chanel and McQueen 's collection represent sea, each has individual charm and style. Chanel goes with the classy one. The Chanel way. That simple yet stunning way.

Balmain Spring 2012

Balmain, one of the prestigious brand with always-super-cool design. We all knows Balmain's style. That rocking-sexy-luxurious design. Now that Decarnin has gone out of the house, we have Olivier Rousteing stepped in. A new talent for me. Just look at his collection below. Though we can't see the rocking side of Balmain anymore, Rousteing indeed gives Balmain a new life. He was inspired by the ever-famous Las Vegas and matador. We can see the usual Balmain with extra luxuriousness and more classic. I really love the gold embellishment. From my viewpoint, this collection is super glamorous and really worth the name of Balmain!

Sat-Nite Fun

I wasn't in a good mood this morning. Yet my parents took me to a motivation event hosted by Andrie Wongso in a mall, called Grand City. I was super lazy and lack of sleep. Fortunately, in the middle of the coffee break, I was able to escape for a while to a newly-opened store, (X) S.M.L. I managed to buy myself a new baby there~

Spaghetti ala Carbonara with Lemon

I was cooking my favourite food ever...Pasta!!! This time I used spaghetti and cooked it ala carbonara. I think this recipe is really nice to girls. It contained little calories, lot of nutritious material, easy to make, and absolutely yummy~ I neither used cream nor milk for the sauce instead, I used soy milk there. Soy milk contains less calories and more calcium than milk. Actually, the smell is sharper than usual milk, but it gave special taste to food. I didn't use butter too and rather used olive oil. I used olive oil&lemon, it tastes really good when you chew the mushroom. It's really easy to make for beginner and doesn't take much time.

We, DKVers Love Photoshoot!

Suddenly remember about a photoshoot me and my fellow college friends have last december. One of the model called Wulan, the owner of Bootsydoopsy blog. And ItsMeAn2x is one of the photographers. Here are some of the photos.

Yeah! Begin this new year with a blog. Don't know if I can keep this up XD. Going through the 2nd semester is kinda challenging. Last semester was so much mess. I'm not good at planning my days, that's what I'm trying to change this year -hope so-
